Hillsborough Veterans Outreach Court

Once a year the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, the Clerk, the State Attorney and the Public Defender hold a morning session at Veterans Memorial Park to resolve veterans' outstanding fines and minor cases. The 2026 session is November 6; registration closes October 16.

Veterans Outreach Court is an annual event of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, the Hillsborough County Clerk of Court and Comptroller, the State Attorney, the Public Defender, Hillsborough County Veterans Services, VA and local veterans' organisations, "designed to help military veterans resolve certain outstanding financial obligations". 2026. It runs from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Veterans Memorial Park, 3602 U.S. 301 North, Tampa. Registration is free and open from July 1 to October 16, 2026, at hillsclerk.com/vetoutreach. The Clerk reviews driving and court records in advance and decides participation case by case; accepted veterans are contacted by October 22. Not handled. Domestic violence, child support, civil and family law cases, felonies with active warrants, and cases pending in Veterans Treatment Court. The Clerk recommends seeing a lawyer about those. This is not the Veterans Treatment Court, which is a criminal docket that runs for months; see that entry.
