Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Florida's veterans treatment intervention act puts veterans treatment courts in the judicial circuits; see the Florida entry. The Fifth Judicial Circuit runs a Hernando County Veterans' Treatment Court: "The Hernando County Veterans' Treatment Court is a special division of the Hernando County Court system. It is a Court-supervised program for those arrested on felony charges in Hernando County who have a mental illness, substance abuse, or other mental health condition related to their military service..." It is "under the leadership and supervision of Circuit Judge Don Barbee", and "...implementing in Hernando County the provisions of the 'T. Patt Maney Veterans' Treatment Intervention Act'". Veteran status "may be established by a DD-214 Form...". What the page does not say. It names felony charges only, so a misdemeanour case needs the circuit's problem-solving court office; and the page names no coordinator or phone, so contact goes through the Hernando County Courthouse.
