The FY 2026-2027 budget (October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027; its cover page records the vote of August 24, 2026, all five members of the Court for it) carries, in the General Fund's nondepartmental expenses, $2,400 for "Veteran Service Officer", $500 of "VSO Office Expense" and $1,500 of "VSO Conferences/Training", and drops the 2025-2026 year's $1,000 equipment line. The officer's line paid $2,400 in 2025 and $2,200 in 2026 to August. The same page carries a $10,000 "Veteran Van Expense" line, which spent $11,511.34 in 2025 and $7,939.01 in 2026 to August; the county's pages say nothing of who rides the van or how to book it, so ask the officer.
