Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Every Ohio commission must arrange regular transport to the VA medical centres serving the county (Revised Code 5901.03(H); see the Ohio entry). Hamilton County's commission drives veterans itself, weekdays, to and from the Cincinnati VA Medical Center and its clinics, compensation and pension examinations, and VA community care appointments, for a veteran who has no other means of getting there. Rides must be booked in advance at 513-946-3300. Its minutes give the scale: 76 trips in March 2026, 79 rides and 16 bus passes in June, and some trips it could not cover for lack of drivers; the transport manager told the board in April that it also carries veterans to private doctors and has looked at paying for a ride service when its own drivers are booked. A veteran turned away for a date should ask what else the commission can arrange. Who qualifies. A Hamilton County veteran with no other transport. The services page sets no discharge or rating test of its own beyond the commission's general eligibility.
