Greene County Auditor: Disabled Veteran Homestead Exemption

Greene County's Auditor takes the State's disabled veteran homestead application, but its page still gives an earlier year's figures, $26,200 and $52,300, where 2026 real property is $29,700 and $59,400, and describes the veteran only as 100% service-disabled, leaving out unemployability.

Also called: homestead, property tax, DTE 105I, county auditor, unemployability, 323.152.

For: Veteran or service member, survivor.

Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The exemption is the State's, under Revised Code 323.152(A)(2); see the Ohio entry. The Greene County Auditor, 69 Greene Street, Xenia (937-562-5065), posts DTE 105I and asks a disabled veteran to contact the office. File by December 31 with the DD-214 and the VA award letter. There is no income test. Where the page is out of date. It says a qualifying homeowner gets a "flat $26,200" exemption and a disabled veteran "the first $52,300 of appraised value". Those figures predate the inflation adjustments for tax years 2025 ($29,000 and $58,000) and 2026. For tax year 2026 real property the reductions are $29,700 and $59,400 of market value. The page also cites the 2025 income limit of $40,000 for the ordinary homestead, now $41,000. Where it narrows the statute. It describes the veteran as one "with a 100% service related disability". Section 323.151(F) also counts a veteran paid at the 100% rate for individual unemployability, who should file DTE 105I with the unemployability decision.
