Return the F.A.V.O.R. The programme. The Veterans Service Agency's Return The F.A.V.O.R. page: "We are proud to sponsor the 'Return the F.A.V.O.R.' discount program that honors Genesee County veterans and many of our local merchants. Veterans who record their DD214 at the Genesee County Clerk's Office will be issued a Genesee County Veteran ID card. This Veteran ID card enables eligible veterans to take advantage of discounts offered by participating local merchants. Participating merchants complete a Merchant Discount Application with the County Clerk's Office indicating the discount offered to participating veterans. Merchants will receive a participation poster for display at their place of business."
The eligibility rules the page publishes: "Must be a Genesee County resident. Must be a qualified, honorably discharged veteran of any branch of the United States Armed Forces. Official discharge papers (DD214) must be on record in the Genesee County Clerk's Office. If not on record, the DD214 must be presented for recording before issuance, or proof of record must be provided from another county." The cards are "Issued at the Genesee County Clerk's Office, 15 Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020", Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (summer hours 8:00 to 4:30).
