Resolution No. 432, offered by Supervisor FOGARTY and adopted 16-0 on December 8, 2025: "RESOLVED, That the Chairman of the Board be and hereby is authorized to sign an agreement between the Fulton County Veterans Service Agency and Montgomery County Veterans Service Agency for transportation services for Fulton County veterans to and from the Veterans' Medical Center, in Albany, NY, at a cost not to exceed $15,000.00; ($30.00 each way) effective January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026; and, be it further RESOLVED, That said cost be a charge against the applicable Veterans Agency account." The ride runs through the two counties' agencies: ask the Fulton County Veterans Service Agency (2712 State Highway 29, Johnstown; 518-736-5651, Monday to Friday 8 to 4) to book against the Montgomery County service. The $30.00 each way is the rate the agreement pays the carrier, and the resolution caps the county's 2026 cost at $15,000. The nearest VA facility the route serves is the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center; the agency's own pages list the VA's health-care enrollment and the nearer outpatient clinics for other appointments.
