General Fund department 59901, "Veterans Service", is $83,712 in the FY 2026-2027 budget (October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027), adopted by record vote on September 29, 2026: $41,620 on the line "Veterans Service Office" and $20,000 on "Veterans Service Driver", with payroll costs, $1,000 for donation expenses, $2,000 each for travel and for meals and lodging, and $1,500 each for cell phones and data processing. The department was budgeted at $84,520 for FY2026 (spent $61,141 by the budget's print date) and spent $75,645 in FY2025 and $63,946 in FY2024; the driver line spent $20,460 in FY2025 and $8,604 in FY2026. The budget does not say whom the driver carries or where; ask the office. The General Fund also budgets a $1,000 donation for "Veterans" among its miscellaneous revenue, and its Special Projects department carries $1,000 for "Veterans Wall Repairs".
