Also called: dental, dentist, teeth, preventive dental, VSC dental, 250% poverty.

For: Veteran or service member, spouse, survivor.

Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The Franklin County Veterans Service Commission runs a preventive dental programme. It fills a real gap, since VA dental care is limited to veterans in narrow classes. Who qualifies. A Franklin County resident for at least 90 days who is an honorably separated veteran, or the spouse or surviving spouse of one, with household income no more than 250% of the federal poverty guideline for the family's size in the current year. The page says "honorably separated"; the commission's financial assistance accepts a general discharge, so a veteran with one should ask whether the dental programme does too. Apply through [email protected] or the commission at Memorial Hall.
