Capital Area Transit, the Harrisburg region's transit authority, offers veteran service to the Lebanon VA Medical Center "in partnership with Dauphin County Commissioners ... and Dauphin County Veterans Affairs", as its flyer puts it. The ride. The shuttle runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It leaves the Burger King at 3253 Paxton Street, Harrisburg at 7:30 a.m. and reaches the medical centre at 8:30 a.m., and leaves the medical centre at 12:30 p.m. for the 1:30 p.m. return. Home pickups and drop-offs are allowed, escorts can ride when booked with the reservation, and every vehicle is ADA accessible. The service costs the veteran nothing; donations toward operating costs are accepted, to widen the programme to more veterans. How. Complete CAT's veteran transportation application before booking, then reserve by noon the day before the trip - by Friday noon for a Monday appointment. CAT: 1-800-303-1904. A stale line on the flyer. It names the board as "Jeff Haste, Mike Pries and George P. Hartwick, III"; Jeff Haste left the board of commissioners in January 2024, and the third seat is now Justin Douglas's. The service itself continues under the present board.
