The Dale County Veterans Service Office is in the County Ag Plex Building, 202 Highway 123 South, Suite F, Ozark 36360, which is also its mailing address. The service officer is Robbie Ray; 334-774-5550 (fax 334-774-5713). Hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday by appointment only. The building is the Dale County Government Building at Highway 123 South and U.S. 231, the same complex as the Commission, Solid Waste and EMA offices.
The office is staffed by the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs and serves Dale County. It helps veterans, dependents and survivors with compensation and pension claims, appeals, survivors' death benefits, aid and attendance and housebound claims, claim-document certification, military records requests, discharge upgrades and special veteran license plates, at no charge.
Around it. Ozark and Daleville border Fort Rucker, the home of Army Aviation. At the Government Building stands the county's Vietnam Memorial, which the Commission agreed on January 13, 2026 to let the Daughters of Vietnam Veterans (Susan Judah) upgrade at no cost to the County. The Commission cancels its meeting when it falls on Veterans Day, as it did on November 11, 2025.
