Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Mo. Rev. Stat. 59.480 makes the recording of a discharge free and limits who may see or copy it; see the Missouri entry. The Recorder's page: "This office also keeps records of discharges of citizens from the United States Armed Forces ... We offer recording of Military Service Discharge (DD214) records free of charge." Its "Request for Military Discharge" link opens the Recorders Association of Missouri's form as hosted by St. Charles County, with the county left blank: one record per form, the veteran's identifiers, the requester's authority and a notary's signature; write in Crawford County. Fees. The fee schedule for non-charter counties effective August 28, 2026, posted on the page, prices real estate, marriage licences, certifications and tax liens - its "State Tax Lien Discharges $1.50" and "Federal Tax Lien Release $7.50" lines are lien releases, not a DD-214 - and has no line for a military discharge. Where. Recorder of Deeds Kim Cook, 302 W. Main St., P.O. Box 236, Steelville, MO 65565; (573) 775-5048; [email protected]. The office does not do lien or title searches.
