Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The rules are the State's; see the Oklahoma entry on DD-214 confidentiality. The Comanche County Clerk's own page lists "military discharge records" among what it keeps: "All documents relating to real estate i.e. deeds, mortgages, mineral interests, plats, liens, judgments as well as State and Federal tax liens and military discharge records. The Clerk's office receives, records, and preserves these records, for perpetuity, both in the office and electronically." The county's fee schedule for the clerk's office names no discharge line, so recording is free under 72 O.S. 22, and 19 O.S. 270 limits who can see it. The office is in the Comanche County Courthouse, 315 SW 5th Street, Lawton.
