Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Veterans Village is Clermont County's answer to veteran homelessness: a campus of 19 cottages and a community centre in Monroe Township, off State Route 125, where homeless veterans live with support services, and which the county expects to expand by 28 more cottages as funding allows. The Board of County Commissioners, led on this by Commissioner Bonnie Batchler, bought 10 acres for the first phase and has spoken of buying more land nearby. The money and the paper. The Clermont Metropolitan Housing Authority committed $6,010,800 of project-based vouchers for the 19 units (January 2026); the county committed $1,040,000 of HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds from fiscal years 2023 and 2024 and $5,128,256 of American Rescue Plan money, routed through a subrecipient agreement with the Clermont Housing Corporation as amended in November 2025, when the project moved from its first site after the zoning authority there refused to rezone for it. In April 2026 the Board signed the HOME regulatory and commitment agreements with Veterans Village CHC, LLC, of Batavia, running to April 8, 2046, along with a replacement reserve. Ground was broken on June 3, 2026. What a veteran does with this. A homeless or at-risk veteran is housed through the project's operators and the housing authority's voucher process; the county's Veterans Service Office (513-732-7363) is the county's front door for a veteran in need and can make the referral. The wait list and tenancy rules are the operator's, so ask there or through the commission.
