Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The exemptions are the State's; the Florida entries explain them. The Citrus County Property Appraiser administers them from citruspa.org, 210 N. Apopka Ave., Suite 200, Inverness, FL 34450, (352) 341-6600. The Appraiser's general exemption information sets the deadline: "The deadline filing date for Homestead exemption is March 1st in the year you are applying for." Its veteran rows: "Combat Disabled veteran discount, age 65 and older or surviving spouse - carryover % of disability - Combat-related disability - Proof of age, DR-510DV Proof of % of disability, DVA..."; "...$5,000 - Veteran or surviving spouse - Proof of disability, DVA*, or US government - 196.24"; "Veteran confined to wheelchair, service-connected, totally disabled - All taxes... 196.091"; "Service-connected, totally and permanently disabled veteran or surviving spouse - All taxes... 196.081"; and "Surviving spouse of veteran who died while on active duty... 196.173". The page links an Application for Veterans over 65 discount, the DR-501M deployed military exemption and the department's PT-109 active duty sheet. Where the table is thinner than the law. The 65-plus discount equals "the carryover % of disability" - the whole permanent rating of which the combat-related part qualifies - which the table states only in its column header; read the statute with the form.
