Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The monument is the county's own memorial to its veterans, moved onto the Administration Complex grounds at 110 Railroad Ave. in Gaffney. The Council's October 6, 2025 agenda carried "Veterans Memorial Monument" under Administrator Merv Bishop, and the minutes of the same meeting record the Administrator's update: "Administrator Merv Bishop updated council on the Veterans Memorial Monument that was located in front of the Carolina Rising Facility. We are working closely with the Veteran's Council to ensure that the monument will have a new & permanent home right here on the County Administration Complex property. The monument has been moved here and is now in the back. We will place it on the Administration grounds in front of the building facing Railroad Ave. The service flags and the POW flag will also be installed beside the monument." The county's veterans organizations pages list the county's posts and the Veterans Museum (the Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee's museum seat is Brooks Allison of the Cherokee Co. Veterans Museum, per the October 20, 2025 minutes) - the monument is the county's own, on its own grounds, maintained through the Administrator's office with the Veterans Council.
