The succession. Resolution 144-26 (the May 2026 meeting, "Offering Recognition to Joseph Coe Upon His Retirement"): "on April 9, 2018, Joseph Coe began his tenure with Chenango County as a part-time Veterans Services Officer... effective January 1, 2023, Joseph Coe became a full-time Veterans Services Officer... this Board of Supervisors extends their deepest appreciation to Jospeh Coe for his years of dedicated service." Mr. Coe's remarks: "when I first started out at the Veterans office when it was new to Chenango County there were huge challenges... In the years I have been here, I have had over 1,100 veterans in my office. Over $8,000,000 in veterans benefits to our veterans and I'm pretty proud of that. I handed off the baton to our new Veterans Services Officer... Most of my veterans are Vietnam and Korean Veterans, and I have had a few World War II veterans. In my tenure I have had almost four hundred Vietnam Veterans, and they have received benefits including health care and Disabilities, and burial benefits. Going forward Megan will do a great job." Supervisor Jeffrey: "He took something from scratch, and he filled a huge void by being the Veterans Services Officer... He built it and put a foundation there." Resolution 145-26: "That Megan Rosado of Norwich, New York be and hereby is appointed Veterans Services Officer of Chenango County effective June 8, 2026, and be it further RESOLVED, That the annual salary for said position shall be $50,000.00." The county's own records spell the appointee's surname three ways - the minutes "Rosado", the staff directory "Ferrera", the 2026-2027 County Directory "Ferrara" - and the county's directory prints the office's phone 607-337-1775 beside the name.

Operation Green Light: the agency's page explains NACo's programme and the Board has resolved support in 2025 and 2026 (the Board's entry).
