The transfer route. The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury's March 2026 report on state benefits and services for veterans counts twelve veterans treatment courts - seven single-county courts (Blount, Knox, Hamilton, Davidson, Williamson, Gibson and Shelby) and five multi-county courts - and lists the fifth: "19th and 23rd judicial districts: Montgomery, Robertson, Stewart, Houston, Dickson, and Cheatham." Its footnote: "Cases from Stewart, Houston, Dickson, Cheatham, and Robertson counties were eligible to be transferred to Montgomery County Veterans Court as of July 1, 2025, due to enactment of Public Chapter 489 of 2025." The TDMHSAS list of governments funding veterans courts includes the same "19th and 23rd judicial districts" line. Where and who. The Montgomery County Veterans Treatment Court: Presiding Judge Ken Goble, General Sessions; contact David Smith, Montgomery County Government, 2 Millennium Plaza, Suite 202, Clarksville, TN 37040; 931-648-5766 ext. 11225, [email protected]. A Cheatham veteran with a pending case asks the coordinator, the defence attorney or the judge about a transfer under Public Chapter 489; the referral forms and the eligibility screens sit with the coordinator. The county's own dockets. The Cheatham County Recovery Court (23rd Judicial District, county line: Cheatham) sits under Judge Phillip Maxey, General Sessions, 100 Public Square, Ashland City (615-792-7566, [email protected]), and the 23rd Judicial District Recovery Court and Mental Health Court serve Dickson, Cheatham, Humphreys, Houston and Stewart counties. A veteran whose case does not transfer to Montgomery can ask those dockets about veteran-specific treatment tracks.
