Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The Veterans Services Program of Carroll County, in the county's Division of Aging and Disabilities, helps county veterans, their dependents, and survivors apply for federal and state benefits, including applications through the Maryland and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs systems. The program prepares and processes the required forms with the veteran, and describes its work as advocacy, claims assistance, education, counseling, and connecting veterans to other human services. The program's page also links help with filing, retrieving, or copying a DD-214, and the county's Veterans Advisory Council. Carroll County Government is at 225 North Center Street, Westminster, 410-386-2400. Carroll County has no veteran property tax credit of its own. Its code has none, and the Comptroller's tax credit page lists only the Homeowners' Tax Credit and the county senior credit, so a veteran rated 100% permanent and total relies on the state exemption.
