Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The rules are the State's; see the Oklahoma entry on DD-214 confidentiality. The Canadian County Clerk's office records instruments: its recording page notes "OSCN County recording practices are governed by the Oklahoma Statutes as defined in 16 O.S. 26, 16 O.S. 28, 19 O.S. 284-298.1, 28 O.S. 32 and 60 O.S. 121", with a 4:15 p.m. in-person cut-off and electronic recording through Simplifile, CSC, eRecording Partners Network (ePN) or Hopdox. Its fee schedule prices ordinary instruments at $18 for the first page and $2 for each additional, with a preservation fee, but names no discharge line - so a DD-214 is recorded free under 72 O.S. 22, and 19 O.S. 270 limits who can see it. The clerk is Sherry Murray, at 314 W Rogers, El Reno, OK 73036, (405) 295-6130, weekdays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
