The Recorder's own page. Camden County's Recorder of Deeds duties list: "Recording military discharge records (DD214). This is a free service and any copies of the recorded record are also free. To request any copies of (DD214) due to Hippa Laws you must fill out a request form and have it notarized." That is RSMo 59.480's rule - no fee for filing, copies only to an authorized party on a notarized request form, no notary charge - and the State entry carries the rest, including the seventy-five-year closure of the images. The office's other record services run beside it: land-instrument recording with e-recording through I-County Technologies (the same vendor Taney County uses), a free index search account at camdenmo.icounty.com (index only - the instruments themselves sit behind the subscription), and owner-name searches for copy requests. The Recording Fees schedule effective August 28, 2026 prices real estate at $26 for the first page and $3 for each additional, plats and surveys likewise, an IRS tax lien at $9.00, and a "Discharge" at $7.50 in the tax-liens block; the discharge line there is the lien discharge, and the page's own text makes the military discharge free, so no conflict is claimed - a veteran asked to pay for a DD-214 filing should cite section 59.480. Where. The Recorder's Office is in the Camden County Courthouse complex at Camdenton; the county's contact page lists the county offices at 1 Court Circle, Camdenton, MO 65020.
