Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

The exemption is the State's (Utah Code 59-2a-501 and 59-2a-502 since the 2025 recodification; see the State entry ut-veteran-disability-property-tax-exemption for the current amount, the ten-percent floor the exemption scales from, the unemployability route and the surviving spouse rule). What the county's own page says. The Tax Administration's Property Tax Relief page, under Disabled Veteran Exemption: "The guidelines for Armed Forces Property Tax Exemption are found in Utah Code Annotated, Sections 59-2a-501 and 502." The first application must carry "Veteran's certificate of discharge from military service, or other satisfactory evidence of eligible military service" and a "Military statement listing the percentage of disability and/or unemployability." And: "Currently Cache County does not require disabled veterans to file an annual application, but they must file again if their percentage of disability changes, ownership changes, or address changes." The page posts the State's application, form PT-025 (rev. 1/22, deadline September 1 with the county of residence), the vehicle abatement form PT-032 (rev. 1/20, under 59-2-1106 and 1904) and the county's Supplemental Affidavit for "the minor orphan of a deceased veteran" or "the unmarried surviving spouse of a deceased veteran" - who "must notify the County" on remarriage. The forms still cite the pre-recodification sections (59-2-1903 and 1904), which the State's recodification replaced; the statute governs. The Active Duty Exemption section posts PT-022. Where.
