Burnet Central Appraisal District: Disabled Veteran Exemption

Burnet Central Appraisal District (312 North Pierce Street, Burnet, 512-756-8291) appraises for every taxing unit in the county and carries the State's Disabled Veteran's Exemption on its Forms page - the Comptroller's 50-135, filed with the district in each county where the property sits; the county Tax Office publishes no exemption text of its own, so the amounts rest on the State entries.

Its Forms page carries the "Disabled Veteran's Exemption" - the Comptroller's "50-135 Disabled Veteran's or Survivor's Exemption Application" - beside the residence homestead application (50-114, paper or electronic) and the Exemption Removal or Transfer Form. The 50-135's general information: "Property owners applying for a disabled veteran's or survivor's exemption file this form and supporting documentation with the appraisal district in each county in which the property is located (Tax Code Sections 11.22 and 11.43). Do not file this document with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts." The county's Tax Office page points property owners to the Central Appraisal District ("Visit the Burnet Central Appraisal District and Property Tax Information") and handles registrations and titles itself; it publishes no exemption text, so the amounts and tests rest on the State entries (docs/COUNTY-REVISIT.md). Note the appraisal district's own domain is burnet-cad.org - burnetcad.org serves a parked page.
