Bosque County Veterans Services: No Budgeted Officer, a Claims Representative’s Number and Caritas Outreach

No budgeted officer. Bosque County's FY2026-2027 adopted budget (approved September 18, 2026) has no veterans department or line, and its staff directory lists no veterans office. A county of under 200,000 people is not required to keep an officer (Government Code 434.032; see the Texas entry). Where claims help is. The county's Veterans Services page links a Veteran Resources directory whose "TX Veteran Representative" listing reads: "Assistance in preparing, presentation of and Prosecution of Claims on behalf of our nations Veterans, their dependents, and eligible survivors," at 254-723-1128. TexVet's county list gives that number for Jody Crawford, with [email protected]. Neither the page nor the budget says whom the representative works for or when and where veterans are seen, so call first.
