Alldredge, Blount County Courthouse, 220 2nd Avenue East, Oneonta (205-973-0584; Hayden Annex 306 2nd Avenue, Hayden, 205-590-2851) - is the county's public records office; its Recording Fees PDF carries mortgage, deed, mineral, power-of-attorney, judgment and plat lines and no military-discharge line, so the free DD-214 recording and the confidential treatment are the State's section 36-12-62 route, carried by the State entry.

The office. Judge of Probate Tamra D. Alldredge's welcome letter: "Our office is responsible for the administration of the Probate Court, the Licensing Office and the Public Records Office. The Judge of Probate is also the Chief Elections Official of the county... Our main office is located at the Blount County Courthouse, 220 2nd Avenue East, Oneonta, Alabama 35121. The direct number is 205-973-0584. While all of our services are offered at the main courthouse location, we also offer certain limited services at our Hayden Annex located at 306 2nd Avenue, Hayden, Alabama. The direct number for that office is 205-590-2851." The Recording, Public Records and Forms page links the online records search (altags.com/blount_probate), the Recording Fees PDF and the KCSGIS maps and property tax records. The missing line. The office's Recording Fees PDF carries mortgage recording (8.00 dollars first page, 3.00 each additional, plus the 0.15-per-100 mortgage tax), deed recording (8.00 and 3.00 plus the 0.50-per-500 documentary tax), mineral and oil-and-gas fees, releases, powers of attorney, judgments, affidavits and liens, the notary commission at 55.00 dollars, and "PLATS - PLEASE CALL FOR FEES" - and no military-discharge line at all. Alabama's Code section 36-12-62 (the State entry) has the probate judge record the discharge "without charge", keep it confidential and furnish free copies to the people the statute lists; the Department of Veterans Affairs states the same route. A veteran quoted a recording fee cites 36-12-62. Where the help sits. The Veteran's Service Office for the county is the ADVA's Room 13 office in the Community Services Building at 1004 2nd Ave. East (its own entry); the Probate Office's counter takes the DD-214 itself.
