The agreement. The October 14, 2025 Commissioners Court agenda carried the memorandum of understanding "for the provision of community-based mental health services" between the county and Camino Real Community Services. The recitals name the point: "the Atascosa County Veterans Office (the 'ACVO') is the County Department responsible for assisting Armed Forces Veterans and their dependents ... with the benefits available to them under federal and state law", the Veterans Service Officer "reports to the Atascosa County Commissioners Court, with the County Judge as its administrative head, and performs duties under the technical guidelines established by the Texas Veterans Commission, the Veterans Benefits Administration, and federal law under Title 38 C.F.R.", and care coordination "for the Veterans of Atascosa County allows for the coordination of care, the streamlining of referrals, the maximization of access to community resources, the prevention of duplication of services". What each side does. The county, through the ACVO, refers veterans who may need mental-health, intellectual and developmental disability or early-childhood-intervention services to Camino Real, helps enrol them, shares client data with consent to avoid duplication, and monitors participation from enrolment through completion. Camino Real receives the referrals, provides "patient-centered and trauma-informed" services, refers veterans to outside providers, returns referrals for ACVO prevention services, and "coordinate[s] with and assist[s] with ACVO to expedite emergency referrals for Veterans in crisis." Term and contact. The MOU runs October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2027, on either party's thirty days' notice to terminate. The Veterans Service Officer is the county's authorized individual: Elizabeth Branson, [email protected], 830-769-3251 extension 4501. Camino Real sits at 19965 F.M. 3175 North, P.O. Box 725, Lytle, Texas 78052 (210-357-0300). County Judge Weldon P. Cude signed for the county at 1 Courthouse Circle Dr., Suite 101, Jourdanton.
