Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Mo. Rev. Stat. 59.480 makes the recording of a discharge free and limits who may see or copy it; see the Missouri entry. The Recorder of Deeds page lists "File and maintain Military Discharge documents" among its services; the Recorder Fee Schedule lists "Military Discharge" at "No Charge" (its $7.50 "Federal tax Lien Discharge" line is for releasing a federal tax lien, not a DD-214), and the Document Formatting Standards exempt "Military separation papers" from the State formatting requirements, so the $25 non-standard fee does not reach them. The pages post no request form; copies go only to the veteran or an authorized party on the Recorders Association of Missouri's notarized request. Where. Recorder of Deeds Chanler M. Williams (deputy Melissa Thorburn), Andrew County Courthouse, 411 Court Street, P.O. Box 208, Savannah, MO 64485; 816-324-4221, ext. 6; [email protected]. Documents are not recorded after 4 p.m.
