Where it applies

The exclusion is the State's, under G.S. 105-277.1C; see the North Carolina entry for who qualifies (a 100% permanent and total service-connected rating or a specially adapted housing grant, and certain surviving spouses) and the $45,000 amount. Alamance County's tax page lists "Disabled Veterans Exemption (NCDVA-9 and AV-9A)" among its relief programmes, filed on its exemption application page, and says these programmes "will be audited every eight years or sooner if needed". Alamance County Veterans Services can certify the NCDVA-9. The statutory deadline is June 1; the Real Estate Appraisal Section answers at (336) 228-1312.
