Where it applies

Written for the jurisdictions listed here.

Alabama sells a Disabled Military Veteran's Appreciation fishing license to a resident veteran whom VA certifies as 20% or more disabled. The veteran has to present that certification. The same 20% line covers an annual freshwater license and an annual saltwater license. A department license sheet lists each annual license at $3.30. Fees are adjusted by law, so confirm the price at purchase. The license year runs September 1 through August 31. A resident veteran at 20% or more can buy a lifetime freshwater license, a lifetime saltwater license, or both, instead of the annual license. Code section 9-11-65.3 sets those lifetime prices by whether the veteran is at least 50 years old. The plates and the license office, or Outdoor Alabama, have the adjusted price. The license can be issued at a Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries district office, a probate office, or a license commissioner's office. Limestone County's License Commissioner issues conservation licenses. Outdoor Alabama also lets a hunter or angler submit VA paperwork online for eligibility approval. This fishing license is not the hunting license. Hunting prices start at a higher rating.
